Campbell Hall
House Staff
Hey there geckos and welcome to the Campbell Hall family!:) We are the group or people who you will come to know as house staff. We are composed of 8 residence assistants, 2 academic mentors, an assistant don, and the don. Titles aside, our roles are all fairly common: to make sure you have a fun and safe experience in Campbell (and MtA!). Our ACMEN's are there for your academic needs- course selection, study tips, making study groups before a midterm, etc. Our RA's are the ones who unlock your bathroom when you get locked out, they're there for you when you have roommate or suitemate problems, and they put on awesome programming (like giant twister!). We are all super excited to meet you in the Fall and we are sure you'll have an awesome year here in Campbell!

Emma Dubois
Hey future geckos!
I'm Emma and I'll be your assistant don next year residing in room 125. I'm going into my 4th year doing a BSc in psychology and a minor in bio. Let me give you a quick run down of what House Staff is. We are a team of 10 people who are here to help you out with regular day-to-day life and with academics. When you get here, you may want to chat with one of our lovely academic mentors (Brooke and Cody) to help you map out your courses. They're here to help you with anything from course selection to creating a study schedule. The other part of the House Staff team is your RAs. We're here to help when you inevitably get locked out of your bathroom, when your roommate starts driving you a bit nuts, or when your friend has too much apple juice on Friday night (if you think I'm actually talking about apple juice, I'm not worried about you). We're here to make sure your experience in Campbell (and MtA!) is as awesome as possible, so feel free to come chat any time!:) And please don't hesitate to contact me at ebdubois@mta.ca if you have any questions over the summer!
I'm looking forward to meeting you in the Fall!
Emma
Cody Harper
Hey everyone! My name’s Cody and I will be one of your Academic Mentors this year. A little bit about myself: I live in Dieppe, NB and graduated from Moncton High School. I enjoy all kinds of sports but hockey is by far my favorite. My idols are Sidney Crosby and Albert Einstein and I am pursuing major in biochem. I’m a very approachable person and easy to get along with! I am here to assist you guys academically and if you have any questions at all (academic related or not) don’t hesitate to come and see me. I can’t wait to meet everyone this fall! Cheers.

Brooke Turner
Hey everyone! My name is Brooke Turner. I am from Moncton, New Brunswick and am a 2nd year Bachelor of Science student majoring in Biochemistry and minoring in Psychology. This year I am one of two academic mentors in Campbell Hall and could not be more excited! Do not hesitate if you have any questions relating to courses or your program! I am always available to help! I am also in charge of the MTA Run for the Cure team and hope to grow its team members this year! Whether you join my team or another team or cause, get involved and have a great year at MTA! Best of luck!

John Balloch
I wear sunglasses anywhere because talking to people always lightens up my day (see photo). I listen to hip-hop and movie soundtracks because I like to believe my life is like a movie about hip-hop (poetic & awesome). I’ve never been shocked by a death in Game of Thrones… because I read all the books first. I don’t like eating rice, it likes being eaten by me. I’m a coffee addict, because I don’t get enough sleep. I’m a biochem major, because it’s cool. I’m from Riverview, NB, because that’s where I live. Most people call me John Balloch… but by the end of the year most refer to me as one of the most interesting RAs at Mt. A. Stay excited for life in Campbell my friends. It’s the best res experience on campus.

Gaston Arsenault
Hey guys! My name is Gaston, I'm from Dieppe, NB, and I will be one of your 3rd floor RAs this year in Campbell! I'm a 4th year Biochemistry major, along with a double minor in Chemistry and Economics! I like to play video games, spend my nights watching shows or movies, and socializing with people! I'm excited to meet you all and get to know everyone! Feel free to drop by 353 and have a chat when you all move in!

Katie Firth
Hey everybody! My name’s Katie Firth and I’m a second-year BA student at Mount Allison! One of my main hobbies is reading, so I guess it’s not that big of a shock to say that I plan on majoring in English. I also love watching movies and I’m not ashamed by the fact that those made by Disney are my favourites. I’m a friendly person and pretty shy at first, but once you get to know me I can also be crazy fun! I’m so excited to be an RA in Campbell Hall this year and can’t wait to meet lots of new people!

Isaac Gazendam
Hey Campbell! My name is Isaac Gazendam and I’m super excited to be one of your second floor RAs! I’m a second year student hailing from Kingston, Ontario, and though I still have no idea what I’m majoring in yet, I’m pursuing a Minor in Fine Art. I love hedgehogs, singing in the shower, and anything involving Meryl Streep. I know next year is going to be a huge adjustment for all of you but I promise it will also be the most fun you’ll ever have. If you have any questions, concerns, or just want to talk, my door (to Room 211) will always be open. Welcome to the best residence on campus, and I can’t wait to meet you all!

Alex Neville
I am from the beautiful city of Fredericton NB where I have lived most of my life. I am in second year Arts, going for my BA in International Relations, one of those catchall programs where you do a little bit of everything and pray it has a use when you are done. I run with the Cross Country team (I promise it exists) so if you want to run with us you can talk to me. I am on fourth floor in room 436, feel free to stop in to say hi, ask questions or if you need my help, that’s what I am here for. I look forward to meeting all of the new Campbell residents!

Allison Wornell
Hey, I’m Allison and I’ll be one of your second floor RA’s (room 226). I’m a second year student from Quispamsis, New Brunswick. I’m taking a BA with a double major in International Relations and Commerce. I love to play field hockey, travel, cook, and camp! I’ve also come to accept that I’m the university mom of my friends so if you ever need anything, from an envelope to a can opener to or an apple (yes, Jennings is directly across from Campbell but sometimes you just can’t be bothered), you know who to ask. My door is always open so don’t hesitate to stop by if you have a problem or just want to talk.

Kathryn Chamberlain
Hi!
I'm Kathryn Chamberlain, originally from Bathurst NB, but moved to St. Louis
Missouri USA in grade 7. I will be in my second year, studying a combination of
commerce and computer science. Some of my favorite past times include reliving
my childhood via Disney movies, singing (terribly) at the top of my lungs to
these Disney movies, watching and playing Canada's game of hockey, making
impulse decisions, and getting big at the gym. Can't wait to get to meet all of
you and get to know you all!
Enjoy what's left of your summer and then the real fun begins :)
Kathryn

Anna Mairs
Hey gang! I'm Anna from New York, New York, and I'm one of your third floor RAs this year. I'm probably going to be a geography major with a biology minor, but I'm still undecided. I love running, Grey's Anatomy, and cats. I'm stoked to meet you future geckos, so stop by 326 if ever need some assistance, a chat, or a recap of Grey's.
